Double Doodle Play: Brain Gym ® 105

The one-day Double Doodle Play includes movement, drawing, and painting activities, done solo, with a partner, and as a group.

It serves as a fun introduction to Brain Gym—with tools for maintaining and improving everyday visual and movement skills. People often make gains in their visual responsiveness as they play together in ways that engage seeing, tactility, or tool-holding abilities, while learning to notice both one-sided and whole-body habits of moving.

Participants experience the relationship between visual skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity. Simple ways to use the Double Doodle processes with learners of any age to enhance visual perception and artistic expression. Benefits

Reading is Fun (PREP and COGENT)

PREP and COGENT are scientifically proven child learning programmes that improve reading comprehension and overall cognitive abilities. These have been developed by Dr.J.P.Das, a world renowned Professor (Emeritus) of Educational Psychology at the University of Alberta and Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.

Audiblox

Audiblox is a multisensory brain-training program that enables learners to overcome learning obstacles and reach their full potential. Audiblox is founded on pedagogical research and 30 years of experience demonstrating that weak underlying cognitive skills — concentration, perception, memory and logical thinking — account for the majority of learning difficulties. Specific brain-training exercises can strengthen these weaknesses leading to increased performance in reading, spelling, writing, math and learning.

F.I.E

Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment (FIE) is a cognitive intervention/brain development program. The FIE program has been successfully used all over the world as a tool for the enhancement of learning potential and cognitive functioning of children and adults. For individuals with special needs, FIE is used as a remediation program. For higher functioning learners IE is a tool of cognitive enrichment. It boosts the cognitive functioning/intelligence of a child.

Life/Social Skills program

This program helps middle school youth cope with physical, emotional and social challenges of the early adolescent years. The program builds important competencies by promoting positive social attitudes, respect and responsibilities while serving as a strong preventive tool, guiding young people towards healthy choices and a drug and violence free lifestyle.

Brain Dance

Rhythmus HappyFeet together with Leap Ahead introduces a unique dance and movement programme for children, which can lay foundation for appropriate behavior, attention, eye convergence necessary for reading, sensory-motors development and more.
A fun class which uses the concept of Brain Dance made famous by Anne Green Gillbert in 2000. This concept is based on fundamental movement patterns that babies discover in the first year of life. These movements wire the central nervous system, each time a child moves through the brain dance pattern.

Jolly Phonics & Jolly Grammar

Jolly Phonics is a multi-sensory, active & specifically designed for young children. With Jolly Phonics, children are not just taught the alphabet sounds but all the 42 main letter sounds and how they are written. Children are taken through stages of blending sounds together to form words and then on to reading.

Children are taught to write by listening for the sounds in spoken words and identifying the letters corresponding to those sounds.

Stories grab the attention of the students probably more than any other method of teaching. They are what bring a boring lesson to life, make a difficult concept easier to understand and make learning fun.

Given this, it is imperative that the teacher be able to narrate stories that keep the students enraptured and spellbound. This brings me to the purpose of this workshop.
